"It is a real treat to be able to come to the local church and see great players up close putting on such a fantastic show. People would normally have to travel miles to see such concerts and then be sitting so far back as to not see much."

Who are the WiGS?

Wimbledon classical Guitar Society is a group of classical guitar enthusiasts based in SW London.

We host public recitals and hold informal member sessions where amateur guitarists of mixed ability perform to friendly faces.

Some sessions are supported by professional guitarist Brad Johnson, who provides feedback on performances. Brad also runs technical workshops.

We welcome new members: if you have a passion for classical guitar and would like to join us, please get in touch. You would be welcome to attend member sessions as an observer before deciding to join.
