Looking for exceptional Wimbledon concerts that showcase musical artistry in an intimate setting? The Wimbledon classical Guitar Society (WiGS) offers something truly special for classical music lovers in South West London.
Why Wimbledon Concerts at WiGS Stand Out
While Wimbledon is famous for tennis championships, the area also hosts remarkable classical guitar concerts that bring world-class musicians to the heart of the community. Our Wimbledon concerts take place at St Saviour's Church in Raynes Park, creating an authentic and accessible cultural experience right on your doorstep.
The WiGS Concert Experience
What makes our Wimbledon concerts unique? Unlike large concert halls where you're seated far from the stage, WiGS concerts offer an up-close, personal experience with exceptional musicians. As one attendee noted, "It is a real treat to be able to come to the local church and see great players up close putting on such a fantastic show. People would normally have to travel miles to see such concerts and then be sitting so far back as to not see much."

Craig Ogden | 2nd October 2026
Craig Ogden is a Grammy-nominated Australian-born classical guitarist, widely regarded as one of the world's leading figures in his field, with BBC Music Magazine comparing him to Julian Bream and critic Michael White to John Williams. He began playing guitar aged seven in Perth, later studying at the University of Western Australia before completing postgraduate work at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, where he went on to become the youngest ever recipient of a Fellowship Award in 2004.
His discography spans over thirty recordings for major labels including Chandos, Virgin/EMI, and Hyperion, with five albums topping the Classic FM charts and frequent airplay on BBC Radio 3. He has performed as soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, premiered numerous concertos written especially for him, and is an active chamber musician who has performed alongside John Williams and is a regular member of both the Aquarelle Guitar Quartet and the London Tango Quintet.
Beyond performing, he has contributed to film soundtracks - including the British hit Notting Hill and presented radio programmes for BBC Radio 3, BBC Northern Ireland, and ABC Classic FM in Australia. He is currently Director of Guitar at the RNCM and Director of the Dean & Chadlington Summer Music Festival.
All concerts take place at St Saviour's Church, Grand Drive, Raynes Park, London SW20 9DL.
